“The Vampire Diaries” has done it again.

Going into tonight’s Season 4 finale, “Graduation,” we knew a few things would happen: The gang would graduate, in a poignant scene that celebrated their history together. Elena would, once again, make a choice between Stefan and Damon. One character who had previously died would return from the dead. And, of course, we knew that someone would take the cure for vampirism and turn into a human. But while we were busy asking who would get the cure and who would spend the summer making out with Elena, we kind of forgot about another season-long mystery: Why won’t Silas let anyone see his real face?

The slight of hand gave us one of the most jaw-dropping finale twists ever… and it was just one of many. We spoke with executive producer Julie Plec about what sort of fall-out to expect from some of the most surprising finale reveals when the series returns in Season 5.

Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) has been a mercurial character for “The Vampire Diaries.” Early on, the series struggled to figure out how to make the powerful teenage witch a significant part of the action without presenting too many easy solutions for the gang’s supernatural problems. Until this season, Bonnie’s emotional payoff — from the deaths of loved ones and other notable traumas — happened mostly off-screen, due to a large ensemble cast of characters and the series’ breakneck speed.

Season 4 is certainly making an effort to make up for all of that. Tonight’s episode, “The Walking Dead,” pays off a lot of Bonnie’s emotional turmoil from the last four seasons. This year, Bonnie’s been truly battered by the Mystic Falls madness, culminating in the tragic loss of her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy, and her overwhelming grief and confusion has driven her to make a startling decision: She’s teaming up with Katherine.

“Her headspace has been pretty jacked up. She put all her faith and trust in a mentor after a really dark time in her life, and he turned out to be a looney tune, and then she had this ancient immortal who is messing with her head,” says executive producer Julie Plec.

Let’s hear it for the scene-stealers!

Today’s round of our 2013 CW Awards is dedicated to the talented supporting actors, the ones who can make us laugh and cry in the same scene, and often inspire rabid fan bases who plead for more screen time for their favorite character.

Kat Graham may star as witch Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries, but this triple threat actress-dancer-singer casts a spell with her talents on and off the screen.

5) Kat Graham is reportedly engaged to her longtime model/actor boyfriend Cottrell Guidry, who popped the question in October 2012.

4) She has an obsession with bees. “I collect honeycombs. I just think they’re the most interesting thing,” Kat told Seventeen.

3) Born in Geneva, Switzerland to a Liberian father and Russian Jewish mother, Kat speaks four languages–French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

2) After getting discovered by renowned choreographer Fatima Robinson at the age of 15, Kat went on to perform as a background dancer for Missy Elliott, Pharrell and Bow Wow.

1) The 23-year-old starlet considers herself to be a “full-on gourmet chef” and loves whipping up Mediterranean and Spanish meals. She enrolled in culinary school in 2009, but didn’t finish because of her Vampire Diaries shooting schedule. According to the Hartford Courant, her interest in cooking peaked when she was working on the set of 17 Again and couldn’t get enough of the catering team’s dishes.

She may live a lavish lifestyle and worth millions but according to Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian is “so grounded and so real”.

Having worked with her for a campaign aimed at young girls to open and talk about their changing bodies, Kat who co-stars in the Vampire Diaries alongside real life lovebirds Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, told HollywoodLife:

“I don’t believe in picking favourites, but she’s my favourite Kardashian. I can see why U by Kotex works with her. She’s so grounded and so real – that’s why she’s my favourite.

“She just absolutely, when you talk to her, connects to you. She doesn’t have any airs about her. She’s very grounded in her womanhood and who she is.”

We caught up with CW Primetime star, Kat Graham, at WNCI and Flanagan’s St. Patricks’s Day Party. She talked to us about her new single “Wanna Say” and what to expect for the rest of this season on The Vampire Diaries.

With the band rocking out, and everyone having a great time, it was REALLY loud in there, so the audio is rough. BUT Kat was fantastic and fun to talk to!
